After being contacted by dog enthusiasts for copies of various articles, Smith decided to compile them into an e-book so the information would be easily accessible, particularly the articles dealing with nutrition and various canine maladies.Smith has written 15 books related to dogs, including one on nutrition.

The unfortunately named (by the publisher, not the author) Pudgy Pooch, Picky Pooch, the book predictably did not find its market, but received much critical acclaim. Perhaps it too will return as an e-book someday soon, as the author remains highly interested in how nutrition can impact the health and well-being of our dogs.
